Development of a technology for processing waste plastic bottles and bags to obtain various types of biodegradable polymer films

Currently, one of the most important problems in world is waste bottles made polyethylene terephthalate, number which currently growing every hour, polluting environment. One ways to protect environment from terephthalate invention biodegradable polymer materials PET waste. several methods for processing have been proposed, but work on production has not fully solved. various technologies recycling plastic and bags are being developed. The promising technology this direction chemical processing, based obtaining final product form a monomer or oligomer, can be used as new raw material synthesis polymers. In work, these wastes were chemically degraded with ethylene glycol solvent presence zinc acetate catalyst bis-hydroxy was obtained. This aims obtain bis-2-hydroxyethyl (BHET) by glycolysis (PET) types films. Biodegradable films polyvinyl alcohol BHET synthesized. Water-soluble copolymers PVA obtained grafted copolymerization. (PVA) (5; 15; 25 wt. %) dissolved distilled water at 75-80°C until complete dissolution, ammonium persulfate, an initiator, added initial mixture first time. It also proved that resulting formed hydrogen bonds using IR spectroscopy.
